White House CorrespondentChristopher Salas was named Hearst Television White House Correspondent in July 2025, nearly four years after joining the Washington, D.C. News Bureau. Christopher previously worked at KSBW Action News 8 in Salinas, California as a weekend anchor and reporter. During his time with Hearst, Christopher's coverage includes the 2024 election, deadly plane crash in Washington, D.C., historic California wildfires, deadly tornadoes in Mayfield, Kentucky and the mass shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival. Prior to joining Hearst, Christopher worked in Kalispell, Montana as a multimedia journalist. Christopher was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and received his degree from Florida International University.
